Can
you explain "search engine friendly?"
Search engine friendly simply means that your keyword
phrases have been researched and chosen carefully, and have been
incorporated into a few hundred words of visible copy on the pages
of the web site. It also means that the web site is designed so
that search engines can follow the links throughout the site and
read the information provided on every page.
Other aspects of search engine optimization include creating search engine friendly HTML (hyper text markup language) coding such as: keyword-rich "title tags", "meta tags" and link reputation. (links from websites with a similar theme are preferred)

What are "High Rankings"?
When you search for a term like "your-keyword-phrase" if your website ranks high, it will be one of the top 30 sites that come up on page 1,2 or 3. High rankings in the search engines and directories can bring you lots of targeted traffic. The search engines rankings are determined in an automated fashion based upon the content of the site, its coding, link popularity, and other SEO factors.
Each search engine has its own proprietary algorithm for ranking sites according to what keywords the search engine user is searching for. A directory will rank your site based on what relevancy a human editor gives it upon review.
Most of the time, sites that are optimized to rank well in search engines will have keyword rich content and abide by the basic rules of the search engines. These professionally optimized sites will also score extremely well in the directories using the proper submission guidelines. Get

What's the difference between search engine positioning and optimization? Aren't they related?
That is a question we keep getting all the time!
Search engine positioning are actually the exact keywords and key
phrases or search terms used that your prospective customers will typically write in the search box when looking for a particular product or service. For example, if we go to Google and type in "new houses",
that is a typical two-word search query. To get targeted traffic from
search engines, you need to know exactly what your users are searching
for and just wich companies you are effectively competing against.
This may sound pretty basic to most people but it's so important
if you want your web site to rank high in the engines. Search query
determination really gets down to finding an almost perfect balance
between targeting, popularity and direct competition.
For example, car dealerships could be tempted when they find
out how many people search for "new cars" to believe
that this is a perfect set of keywords, but instead, experience
has shown us they are often misled by this. "New cars" could
very well be a very popular search keyword in itself, but unless
a specific car dealership sells new cars all over the world,
it is not specific enough to seriously reach a targeted
audience.
Certain individuals can come up with very good and targeted
keywords in their search terms using basic common sense but it
is always better to prepare for the "unexpected". At SEOMG.com we
have specialized tools that help us do that, combined with research
we do for that particular industry or market segment.

What is Search Engine Optimization?
Search engine optimization is the process of putting selected keywords into a given web site, using proper placement techniques and carefully using the correct wording, in direct response to what was said earlier on positioning. That's all it really means basically. In most SEO circles right now, there is a great deal of confusion on this subject so, in order to clear this uncertainty, let's start by clearly defining search engine optimization.
Search engine optimization can be defined as the rather "less complicated" part of the whole process. The first thing you need to understand is we only use one or two search keywords to optimize each individual page on any given web site. Once we have selected a page to optimize and the exact search keywords and key phrases we are going to use, all that is left for us to do is insert these keywords in their proper places and we have pretty much completed the optimization process.
Now you may ask: "Where is the best place to place our keywords"? Here is the answer to that question:
The page's title
The keywords & description meta tags
In the 1st paragraph of the body text
In the text of any links that point to the page
In a heading tag such H1, H2, or H3 at the top of the page

What is link
popularity?
The only way to boost link popularity
is to obtain links directed to your site from other sites (preferably
with a similar theme). This can be done by offering a reciprocal
link to the webmaster. But it's a time-consuming process such
as: identifying sites relevant to your theme that rank well and
contacting them to request a link and following up. It's well
worth the time because links can help boost your rankings above
your competition.
We don't recommend link farms or automated FFA link sites (often
considered spam) that just collect your email address (to sell
or use) and in most cases won't help your ranking in the search
engines. You may even be penalized (dropped from the search engines),
and on top of that, you may be spammed with thousands of unwanted
emails from solicitors.

What is
PPC?
PPC stands for "Pay-Per-Click".
We'll use Overture as our example because in our opinion,
it is one of the best PPC services at this time (along with
Google's Adwords). Overture allows you to bid on keywords
and phrases of your choice so you can achieve top of the
page listings in some of the major search engines, i.e:
- Yahoo
- Alta Vista
- Lycos
- Netscape
- MSN and several smaller engines.
When someone search's for a keyword or phrase in one of these
search engines, the results are listed in descending order by
the amount of the bid. The highest bidder is #1. Each time someone
clicks on your site you are charged the amount of the bid you
placed. Bids start at $.10 and climb from there. Minimum monthly
bidding must total $20 or more. Get your website

as possible. There are over 5,00,000 search engines, directories, classifieds and FREE FOR ALL link sites out there that can direct traffic to your site. It would take months to manually submit your site to each. Even one or two referrals a day from each can add up to large traffic increases.

Many times, search engines do not list you or drop your site after a period of time, without informing you.

your submissions. We will submit your site to over 5,00,000 search engines,

Why should I submit my web site more then one time?
Three reasons. First, we believe you should be able to re-submit your site every time you change it. Second, many search engines favor recent submissions. Third, many search engines drop you from their listings without notifying you. Get

How
do I get Top Ranking in search engine listings?
You didn't need to much hard work after we show you
how to optimize your website and follow instructions we provide
to you.
The three main factors that must be followed to get top rankings are:
1) Page Structure
2) Site Popularity
3) Keyword Density
Page structure refers to the way a page is setup. Are the META tags there? Does the site run on a variety of browsers? Does it appear that the site is trying to trick the search engine in some way? Is the page's syntax correct?
Over the course of time, search engines have developed extremely sophisticated algorithms to rank page structure. In particular, search engines look for 'tricks', like tiny text or non-relevant keywords. Unfortunately, many webmasters are not aware that they are writing HTML that would make a search engine penalize the page's ranking.
Site Popularity is is a measure of how many sites link to your site. The theory is that if other sites are linking to your site, your site must have some pretty relevant content.
Do this test. Go to AltaVista.com and type link:www.dell.com. This returns how many sites link to www.dell.com. You should see many thousands of returned sites. This value is very important factor for most major search engines.
Keyword Density measures what percent of the text on your page is a keyword. If your density is too low or too high, you will be ranked poorly. The optimum value for this differs by search engine, but the typical value is 3%.
So, to achieve a high ranking, you must do the following:
Make sure your site does not have any syntax errors
or any of the 60 issues that search engines will penalize for. If
you have any, you can forget about a top ranking.
Have proper meta tags. It's easier to do than you
think!
Make sure your keyword density is close to 3% in your body text. Keywords should appear at least once in your link text and the ALT attributes on IMAGE tags.
Get others to link to your site. The more the better.
Submit your site regularly!

We
have a computer programmer in-house here and he's not too
busy. Why not just have him do this?
Trusting your SEO to a person that has no previous experience in the professional optimization of a corporate web site is a risky proposition at best. Also, using a do-it-yourself SEO software is an inexpensive approach to search engine positioning. This type of arrangement typically provides you with some limited tools to carry out certain basic functions of search engine optimization and positioning initiatives in-house. However, this option requires an internal "expert" to carry out the search engine positioning and optimization software. One major downside to this is that this option is likely to provide very minimal results at best. The whole success of this strategy is limited to the efficiency, the knowledge and the overall effectiveness of your in-house practitioner.
Furthermore, if that in-house person happens to leave your company, your search engine optimization program will end abruptly and without warning. In such case, you must start all over from the beginning. Additionally, a comprehensive search engine optimization strategy requires a full understanding of all major search engines and their algorithms, plus that person needs a lot of expertise and in-depth research capabilities that is very difficult to achieve in-house, if not impossible. It takes years to become a good search engine optimization professional, plus it takes all the specialized tools and complex processes.
